Player Reports / Re: Chony Chonerson VS Losswen
« Last post by LangleyFox on June 28, 2016, 04:29:09 pm »
Oh yeah, I'm a bot, absolutely. 12 whole inputs per minute, different connection location to Losswen, and both steam accounts very independently active. I would suggest you actually look into things before getting your tendies in a twist and complaining on a forum.

At the encouragement of another player on the server, I will private message a GM about this, but I will make a slight correction -- the allegation we logged off at the same time, is a lie -- along with the allegation that the other player is a bot, in any way.

Player Reports / Chony Chonerson VS Losswen
« Last post by chony on June 28, 2016, 04:05:03 pm »
Lowwen is using a bot. we saw it at 1:30 to 1:45 am on 6-28-16.  the bot was running into us when we walked up to it and tried to RP with it. it kept doing the same task over and over again until its inventory was full. it was digging and flatting the ground over and over again. when it ran into us it wouldn't move around us. Lowwen told us "he is very shy and doesn't talk to anyone".... both "players" then logged off and disappeared at the exact same time around the time of 1:50am. pretty sure its a bot seeing how they both disappeared at the same time. sorry I don't have any more evidence than what I'm telling you. i screen shot wouldn't do much good. just want to keep the server clean of bots. thanks guys and i hope this gets looked at.

General Discussion / Re: My new office
« Last post by gnif on June 27, 2016, 12:03:51 pm »
Badass!  Speakers look good, are they custom?

Thanks! They are indeed, they are custom made bi amplified (not to be confused with bi-wired) mid-high range speakers, 100W RMS each. I built a custom pre-amplifier that uses Linkwitz-Riley active crossovers to split up the frequencies before amplification for low (< 120Hz) mid (< 1.2KHz) and high. The mid and high outputs are fed into a four channel amplifier, and then each driver in each speaker is fed directly from the amplifier without any passive crossovers or filtering. The low output is fed into an active sub woofer I scavenged from a junk pile and bypassed it's tonal controls, so the signal from my pre-amplifier is fed directly into the sub's amplifier without any additional filtering, etc.

To determine the best crossover frequencies, I am no mathematician, so I used an adjustable dbx active crossover I repaired from eBay, which allowed me to tune and play with the output until I found the best crossover points for each individual driver for my liking. It is tuned to sound good and not favor any particular type of music, from Bach to the BEP, it sounds great.

Since I took over the tonal controls for the sub I also installed a sub level control right up with the volume controls on the pre-amp, which makes it handy for night time listening so I do not disturb the family/neighbors. It is also great to boost it up a little when playing games with explosions, etc... nice to feel them :).

The net result is a small hifi system that truly kicks the crap out of anything you can buy for under $10,000 and only cost me about $500 to build in total. Nobody sells bi-amplified systems anymore (since the late 1970's), the era of audio professionals has ended and now we just have "audiophiles" that will buy anything if it costs lots of money, because it must be better.

If you want a true audio experience, avoid passive crossovers at all costs and invest the extra cash in the additional amplifiers needed to drive each driver individually.

That would certainly be my wish. I just don't like people breaking the rules when i'm trying to adhere to them. He broke the Rules... I do not see why our characters should be penalized at all. If the rules on the server mean anything Archer should be punished for breaking them. I'm not sure if you are misunderstanding what we are trying to communicate in how he has broken your Rule Set but if you would like to discuss this on Teamspeak or Skype then feel free to add me or my brother since he is the one who discovered the discrepancies.

No worries. Like I said as well, the characters have not been permanently killed. This character (not your alternate character mind you) is in a state of cool down only. Though the emotions everyone is feeling are high at the moment, I do hope everyone can move forward from this and continue to enjoy the server.

The Graveyard / Re: Death and Rule Disputes.

I apologize if it has taken me a moment to reply.  Practically everything that you are saying is so disconnected from reality that I am not entirely sure how to respond.

I am glad to hear that you have chosen a career path of public service.  Thank you for your service to the nation.  I, myself, often volunteer at the local animal shelter.  Now that we are both done showing off what good people we are, lets move on.

Frankly Archer, I'm done with you. I have had enough of you over the past week for a lifetime, Continue "nit picking" at everything and see how far that gets you. You have never spent time "communicating" with me until now, only once matters come to a head are you willing to talk.  I am not wasting my time on a line by line response to you. You are a liar, you have lied, you continue to lie. I am done talking to you.  You may now proceed to think that you win by getting the last word.  To quote many a parent, "I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed".  Have a good life.

Apologies for the misunderstanding of our screenshots, the circled tombstone was merely to show the name differences, not the countdown timer.

The circles on the text boxes were to show the time discrepencies between the rp sentence and the face we had died before he said it (temujin's tombstone pics don't have the comment, archer's does 2 minutes after)

Name Change Request / Re: Name Change REQUEST June 26

I have gone ahead and changed the name for you (as of 6/26/16 at 12:04pm PST). I believe if you log out and log back in, or when you log in next, the change should take affect. Please let me know if it worked out okay. I usually have others handle the database for me, but they are unavailable right now.

Hello to everyone involved. It looks like some interesting events have transpired within the last few hours. First of all, I want to thank you for bringing all of your comments and information to the forum and using our format as provided. It has been a very big help to me as I have spent the last 30 minutes or so pouring over all of the pictures and details.

I specifically would like to commend Temujin Khan's information, as the detail he provided via documented screenshots was a big help in determining my decision. I would also like to point out for the record that the screenshots that were provided by Jezzail, though helpful, included one error. The time discrepancy that was highlighted was no time discrepancy. That is a countdown timer on the tombstone that you see, not a time of death.

I find that, though the punishment may be severe, there was enough RP leading up to the event documented by multiple parties. The three 'deaths' are now considered confirmed. If any one of these three individuals are killed again within the stipulated 5 days cool down period (starting from 6/26/16 at 11:23am), their characters will be permanently killed (wiped from the server).

A note to those who rendered their fate. Your justice has been enacted for their stated crimes. To hunt them down to solely CK their character will be frowned upon. If, however, within those 5 days, these 3 continue to harass or go after you. Then by all means, they have no protection. This 5 day cool down period is also an attempt for players to cool down in real life too. It is a 'second chance' if it were if you understand my meaning.

On another note - Snow has turned himself into the authorities. He is being held by representatives of the Legion of Albion to stand trial. This has been sanctioned by representatives of Stirling and upon review with Lancaster, the interested parties will be able to attend and bare witness to a trial. No vigilantism while this matter is unconcluded.
